WSC Delivers IGCC Plant Simulator

Adding to the multi-phase capabilities in the 3KEYMASTER FLOWBASE hydraulic modeling tool, WSC has added the capability of modeling chemical and process plants through the delivery of the two largest Integrated Coal Gasification Combined Cycle (IGCC) plant simulators in the US. The latest delivery had gasifier trains, air separation units (ASU), sulfur recovery units (SRU) and UOP acid gas removal (AGR) units.

In addition to these chemical simulation projects, WSC delivered a web based Generic Atmospheric Distillation Unit (ADU) Simulator to Bismarck College for use in their chemical curriculum. Bismarck College currently uses 5 of WSC web-based simulators including an Simplified Electrical Grid, Two Coal Fired Units one operated through traditional control Panels and the other using a Distributed Control System (DCS), A Combined Cycle Simulator, A Generic Nuclear Pressurized Water Reactor (GPWR) Simulator and the newest addition being the ADU Simulator.
